Workforce offers local funding reimbursement options to employers. Needing to upgrade the skills of your current workforce? Then Employed Worker Training (EWT) may work for you. Willing to grow and train your own employees? Then On-the-Job Training (OJT) is an option.
Employed Worker Training
Employed Worker Training allows you to invest in your employees while also giving you the flexibility to choose your training provider. Download the
EWT Guidelines for more details.
On-the-Job Training helps you recoup the costs of lower productivity while training a new employee. You teach the employee occupational skills needed for the job and the employee learns the exact skills needed for the job, the right way, from the start.
How to get started:
An OJT employee should not be hired until after being determined eligible and assessed by
Workforce. The employee may be someone
Workforce refers or it may be someone you refer to us. Either way, we determine them an eligible participant, we screen them, we assess their current skill level and we work with you to develop their individualized training plan. Your
Employer Services Representative can assist you in completing all necessary paperwork. Download an
OJT Agreement here.
Workforce Florida, Inc. Training Funds
Workforce Florida, Inc. also offers training funds: Quick Response Training and Incumbent Worker Training. Your Employer Services Representative is knowledgeable about these opportunities and will facilitate the process for you.
